In-Office Liposuction Provides Fast Recovery and Stunning Results

In-Office Liposuction is liposuction under local anesthetic, not general anesthesia. As a result, there is less risk, less recovery, less bruising and less pain compared to traditional liposuction. In my experience, this procedure produces better results with less skin irregularities than traditional liposuction. A fast recovery is typical, so most patients have In-Office Liposuction on a Friday, recover over the weekend and return to work the following Monday. Dr. Torres performs this liposuction using the tumescent technique, which involves injecting an anesthetic solution and vasoconstrictor into the fatty areas to expand the fat under the skin, keeping it firm. This firmness (tumescence) allows for easier fat removal, smoother contouring, and a significant reduction of pain, bruising and swelling. "With tumescent technique I am able to more easily sculpt a curvaceous body contour and can etch abdominal regions to create six-pack abs." Unlike traditional liposuction where a patient is lying down during the entire procedure, Dr. Torres has his patients stand up during In-Office Liposuction so that he can evaluate them and fine-tune their results. "Having my patients stand up during the procedure allows me to refine their results, reducing the chances of having to do touch-ups later." Since patients are awake during In-Office Liposuction, Dr. Torres is able to target fat only while avoiding muscle tissue, which is the reason for faster recovery with less pain and bruising. "With In-Office Liposuction, I am able to remove the same amount of fat as traditional liposuction with a higher safety profile and quicker recovery compared to traditional liposuction."
