Houston and Sugar Land Cosmetic Dentists - Lumineers Provider in Houston
The July 2005 issue of Shape featured
Lumineers as part of a smile makeover in a story called "Look Great." Shape interviewed reader Sarah Menkes and showed before and after photos of her. The patient is a 26-year-old media planner in New York City with extremely yellow teeth, which made her very self-conscious about her smile. Sarah met with New York Lumineers dentist, Dr. Wilma Fernandez Antonio, who performed her smile makeover with excellent results. Health magazine recently named Lumineers as one of the biggest beauty breakthroughs of the year, and referred to Lumineers as the way to get "perfect teeth in an hour!" Lumineers are described as "a quick, painless alternative to traditional porcelain veneers made of a lighter-weight composite that can be applied directly to the natural enamel of the tooth." Lumineers evolved from Den-Mat's successful Cerinate studio, which services over 2,500 dentists nationwide. Cerinates are revered in top trade publications, including Dentistry Today, which awarded them a spot in the "Top 100 Products." Now, Cerinate dentists are elevating their practices by also offering Lumineers as an alternative when a dentist desires not to remove sensitive tooth structure. Lumineers can provide a convenient substitute for braces and other orthodontics, depending on bite severity. They may also be used on worn teeth to strengthen them and prevent further wear. They can even be placed over crowns to improve esthetics and help rejuvenate a smile.
